New Year's Eve in Israel

Xan and I have made it to Israel safely!  We are here visiting his parents who are living here.  His brother, Tony, and his wife, Shanda, are also here visiting.  Tony did a semester in Jordan through BYU while Shanda lived with his parents for the Fall semester.

To celebrate the New Year, we went to the Mediterranean Sea and toasted some cherry juice.  It was about 50 degrees F and the water was surprisingly a pleasant lukewarm.

This picture below is my new favorite picture of Xan!

Xan kidnapped me and ran around the sea.

The more I screamed, the faster he went!

Happy New Year

Love these two!

We miss his sister and her family like crazy!  We wish they had been able to be here, too.  They came in the Fall for a while.  The good news is that his sister, Kressyda, is about to have another baby in a few weeks.  We miss you Kressyda, and hope everything goes well!

We are getting ready to head out to the Galilee area for a few days.  We don't know if we'll have internet access there but I'll post more pictures when we get back.  :)

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Xan and I celebrated our 6th Christmas together.  We only have 3 official Christmas pictures ('06, 08, and '11) but the others were taken a month before or after Christmas so... I'm counting them.

We didn't do to much for Christmas this year.  My mom would be proud to know we did wait until Christmas this year to open up presents.  :)  Xan has been busy writing papers and I worked my regular work schedule which has me working Thursday through Monday.  Christmas was fun with the residents, though, so I'm not complaining.  We ate dinner with our Branch president's family and 2 other couples left here for the holidays.  Food was DELICIOUS!

And, we leave for Israel to visit his parents on THURSDAY for 5 WEEKS!  We're both really excited and scrambling to get everything ready in time.

HOPE YOU ALL HAD A MERRY CHRISTMAS!
